Natural Nails

As you all know, I have been trying out a more natural beauty regiment recently. Changing how I was eating, cleaning, and beautifying was generally easy since there are many products on the market to fill those voids. However, finding a "natural" nail polish was really putting a crimp in my side!

I was ecstatic when Krista introduced me to SpaRitual, a vegan beauty line, while Christmas shopping but just recently purchased a bottle for myself (which I found at TJ Maxx and Ulta.) It was very sheer and I had to apply 3 coats for full coverage, but did not use a base or top coat. It had a slight matte finish. I have been really impressed with how well it wears and would highly recommend you try it our as well!

Still no chips or wear after 3 full days of wear!

Bling Bling Nail Art

Today is my SECOND adult snow day IN A ROW! Today I decided to use my extra time to pamper myself. I got these nail stickers and new Ulta polish (Ultra Violet Femme) for Christmas and was very excited to try them out!

After my nails were painted and dry I simply followed the instructions on the nail stickers package, putting the correct size sticker on the appropriate nail and filing off the excess.

I like the finished look of the nails, but wasn't entirely happy with how the stickers conformed to the shape of my nails. I think a design with less "rhinestones" would lay more nicely.

*UPDATE*

I ended up removing this nail art within the first 24 hours. No matter how many layers of clear nail polish I put on top of the rhinestone stickers they caught on EVERYTHING. I would not use these again, definitely not worth the time and energy.

Nailed That Bargain

I just got 5 nail polishes for $3.71. Here's how: I had $3.50 in store credit, I had a coupon from the "Retail Me Not" app for 3$ off 10$ and Ulta has their nail polish on sale right now for $2 a bottle. I honestly like their nail polish too! My nails in the picture are painted in "Lav-ish" by Ulta. It's mature, but has a golden shimmer that makes it totally summer-y

Go get yours girls!!

Springy-Summerish Teal Gel Polish

Hello All,
These pictures are from earlier in the spring when I wore this color. As you will see in this video I did them slightly different this time.

I purposefully recorded the video so I didn't have to type, so without further ado, ENJOY!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips: Product Review

Nails on Day 1
I don't usually do product reviews but was SO impressed with the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips that I just had to share them with you! This is the second time I have used the polish strips and they are a fun way to wear a wild pattern that would be impossible to paint.

Sixteen polish strips are included in each box so you can find the perfect fit. once nails are clean and filed you simply remove the protective plastic, rub polish strip onto nail, and file off access. If you don't get the perfect placement the first time I have found that I am able to peel and replace polish strip a few times without any damage. My manicure usually last about a week and then begin to chip like any regular polish would. I was very impressed that they didn't peel off in a whole strip, which is how I applied them.

I have to say, the polish strips are a bit expensive for one application, but I find them on sale on a regular basis and think they are totally worth it to spice up your nails every once in a while. I give them two thumbs up, literally!

Nails on Day 10
After 10 days my nails were slightly grown out and a bit worn at the tip but still looking great! When you are finally interested in removing your polish you can simply use any polish remover you may have on hand.
