Bad news, I'll probably have a lot less spare time to blog so you'll see fewer posts from me for a while. But don't fret, I'll be back ASAP!

Fashion Star & The Great British Sewing Bee

I admittedly watch a little bit too much television, but recently I have been absolutely GLUED to Fashion Star and The Great British Sewing Bee. Why you ask?

I love Fashion Star for three main reasons. It mixes individual designers and the process they go through WITH buyers from major department stores AND you can purchase the clothing immediately after the show is over! Talk about an advertising major's dream.

Have any of you purchased an article of clothing that was designed on Fashion Star? I have been tempted, but it seems that Saks always buys the styles I like and sells them out of my price range. I have, however, been thinking about how I could replicate a few of the designs.

I have never wanted to be on a "reality" television show until I saw The Great British Sewing Bee. Honestly, if Americans were allowed to apply I would fly to Britain at the drop of the hat! America, lets get on this ASAP.

What makes this show so wonderful is that it truly tests the sewing skills of amateur sewers through a variety of tests including altering, tailoring, following a pattern, hand stitching, and refashioning for both men's and women's clothing. The winner of The Great British Sewing Bee will likely be a very well rounded seamstress!

2013 Valentine Blogging Party

My goodies from Melanie!

I was thrilled to open my mail box yesterday and find a BIG, HEAVY box from my Valentine Melanie at Moments In Time. She thoughtfully enclosed a Valentine's Day card, TONS OF CHOCOLATE, organic lip gloss (which I have heard AMAZING things about,) an adorable mug, mini-notebooks, and a meal planner. As a newly wed I am especially excited to use the meal planner. For only telling Melanie a little bit about myself over an email and any blog surfing she may have done I have to say she really nailed my perfect Valentine! Thanks Melanie!

Blogs & Etsy Shops I Heart

Every so often when I peruse my Google Reader and Etsy Favorites I always love what these ladies have to share.

Kate at The Small Things Blog (clearly a blog) is an amazing stylist that I'm sure any of you on Pinterest have already seen. I love that she has the same length and thickness of hair that I have and her instructions are EASY TO FOLLOW!

Whitney at Elm Street Life (blog) and Brighter Day (Etsy) is a breath of fresh air that I also came across on pinterest. I love seeing the new crafts she posts about and greatly admire her personal business. Did I mention that on top of it all she's also a new mom? Amazing lady.

Anna at DesiringJoy (Etsy) makes wonderful products and I was the lucky recipient of one of her beautiful paisley scarves for a Christmas gift. I seriously wear it every other day.

And best thing about these ladies is that they are all talented young Christian women. Isn't it amazing how we are blessed with different talents?! Please share some of your favorite bloggers and Etsy shops with me. I'm always looking for inspiration.
